Sasha was a stylist. The motive behind her killing in a hair salon on the evening of Saturday 8th November is not known.
Asociación Silueta X, a key member of Federación Ecuatoriana de Organizaciones LGBT+, has voiced profound grief and indignation following the murder of Sasha C.O. Chung Ordóñez, a 25-year-old trans woman and beloved local stylist.
Chung was fatally shot on the night of Saturday, November 8, 2025, in the Bellavista sector of Ventanas, Los Ríos province. The organization is demanding authorities investigate the crime as a potential Transfeminicide or hate crime.
Sasha, known for her joy, charisma, and authenticity, has been added to the painful list of victims of escalating violence that particularly targets the Trans population in Ecuador. The crime is especially alarming given the severe increase in insecurity affecting the Los Ríos province.
