Betina's body was found in woodland two days after she had gone out to work on Monday 1st December.
The condition of her body suggested that Betina had been killed around the time she went missing.
Missing since Monday (1), the body of the trans woman identified as Betina, 33 years old, was found in a wooded area near Fama University, in Nova Mutum (242 km from Cuiabá). According to the report, the victim was already in an advanced state of decomposition and was found by residents of the region.
The Military Police and the Official Expertise and Technical Identification (Politec) were at the scene to carry out standard procedures. Family members arrived to identify the body and confirmed that it was Betina.
According to reports, Betina worked in the area and had left on Monday to perform a service, and had been missing since then. During the search, teams also found the victim's motorcycle, which was near the body.
The case is being investigated by the Civil Police, who are looking into the circumstances and motivation behind the homicide.
