Rebeca was shot in the back during the early hours of the morning. There is no information about who killed her or why.

A 34-year-old trans woman, identified as Rebeca, was shot dead on Friday morning (12) in the João Cabral neighborhood, in Juazeiro do Norte. Preliminary information indicates that she was hit by a shot in the back during the early hours of the morning.

Residents called Samu, but Rebeca was already dead when the team arrived at the scene. Forensic experts carried out the initial investigation, analysing the crime scene and removing the body.

Although the Military Police attempted to access images from surveillance cameras installed in the area, they were unable to do so as the cameras there only transmit images in real time and do not save recordings.
