Peu was a seamstress. She was killed inside a residence following an argument, allegedly after she had assaulted another woman.

A seamstress was murdered on Tuesday night (23/12), around 23:30, in Sítio Baiacos, in the rural area of Brejo da Madre de Deus, Agreste de Pernambuco. The crime took place inside a home. The victim was identified as 41-year-old [deadname] da Silva, a seamstress, known by the nickname "Peu", who was found dead at the scene.

According to police information, the victim was consuming alcoholic beverages in the company of others when, motivated by jealousy, she allegedly assaulted a woman with a brick. In reaction, a man who was at the scene stabbed Cicero.

After the crime, the suspects fled before police arrived.

Two suspects were subsequently arrested.
