Claudia's body was found in a residence with a stab wound to the neck. A man was arrested on homicide charges after being restrained at the scene by Claudia's brother.
A 53-year-old transgender woman, identified as Claudia Priscila Galván, was found dead with a stab wound to the neck in a house in Quilmes Oeste. A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with homicide in connection with the crime.
According to the local media outlet Inforbano, the incident occurred on Tuesday, January 20, when personnel from the Tactical Operations Group (GTO) of the Quilmes 5th Police Station went to the area of calle Mosconi, between Liniers and Lamadrid, after a report of a confrontation.
Upon arrival, the officers found a man restraining a young man and pointing him out, very agitated, as the alleged murderer of his sister.
During the procedure, officers identified the suspect, Cristian, 27, and searched him, finding a cell phone, pills, a lighter, and other personal items in his backpack. Simultaneously, another patrol unit went to a residence at calle Lamadrid 3800, where the body of the transgender woman was found in a small house at the back of the property.
During the search, they noticed that the inside of the room was in disarray and that, in addition, the weapon used to commit the crime could not be found.
SAME confirmed the death at the scene and identified the victim as Claudia Priscila Galván, 53, who had a stab wound to the neck.
