MELCHOR OCAMPO, Mexico, February 17 - The body of a [woman] dressed as a woman was found this afternoon, lying on a dirt road in this municipality, with severe injuries to her body, bound and gagged.
Police authorities are considering a crime of passion as a possible motive for this murder; however, they said that the investigations already being carried out by FGJEM agents will determine exactly what caused this individual to be killed.
The body of this individual, whose identity is currently unknown, was found minutes before seven o'clock on Tuesday night, lying on a dirt road, located in the Tepetongo neighborhood of the municipality.
After receiving a 911 call for help, municipal police officers arrived at the scene and, upon confirming that the individual was already dead, cordoned off the entire area and requested the intervention of the Public Prosecutor's Office to certify the facts. During the initial on-site inspections, the Public Prosecutor's Office reported that the deceased was lying face up, dressed as a woman, and had severe injuries to her body. She was tied up and gagged, and a backpack containing cosmetics was found next to her body.
