MEXICO CITY - The lifeless body of a trans woman who had been reported missing since February 26 was found with signs of violence and sexual abuse in a park in the Venustiano Carranza borough.
It was early yesterday morning when relatives of Nayrobi Flores Arcia, 27, a member of the LGBTTTI community, found her body in the Ave Fénix Linear Park, located at Gran Canal del Avenida Desagüe 390B, in the Ampliación Venustiano Carranza neighborhood ; the body was hidden inside an improvised tent.
Nayrobi had been missing since February 26 when she left a friend's house in the Morelos neighborhood. Nothing else was heard from her subsequently.
After eight days of intense searching, the young trans woman was located by one of her sisters, who said that Nayrobi was beaten, had stab wounds in her back and signs of having been raped, so she demanded that the authorities of the capital's Prosecutor's Office capture the person responsible.
The victim's family provided the capital's authorities with the name of a man they suspect may be behind the horrific murder.
