Suellen's body was found with signs of violence in an abandoned building near her home.
A transgender woman was found dead with signs of violence in Araras (SP), on Wednesday (18). The victim was identified as Suellen Jalala Ferreira de Brito, 30 years old. According to her mother, her daughter left home on Tuesday afternoon (17) to buy shampoo and did not return.
Suellen's body was found the following morning in one of the rooms of an abandoned building in Parque Tiradentes, the neighborhood where she lived. According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the case was registered as a suspicious death at the Araras Police Station. Suellen's body was buried this Thursday morning (19) at the Parque dos Eucaliptos Cemetery, in Araras.
"Until now we don't know what happened, nor who committed this cruelty against her. I don't know how a human being has the capacity to do such a barbaric thing because she was a very good person and had no malice towards anyone," said her mother in an interview with g1.
According to her mother, her daughter was a homebody, single, and had no enemies. "She was a wonderful person. On Tuesday, before going to the market, she had taken my 90-year-old father to the hospital for an IV drip because my 76-year-old mother wasn't feeling well. She took very good care of my parents, me, and my sisters," said Solange.
According to her mother, Suellen had venous thrombosis in her legs, which limited her mobility. After three months of hospitalization, she lost one of her lungs, further aggravating her condition.
According to Solange, her daughter was single and didn't have a boyfriend. When she went out, it was to go to the movies, something she loved, or to participate in family outings. The mother said that her daughter enjoyed studying and spoke English well.
