Yannis reportedly died by suicide.
It is with great sadness that we learned this morning of the death of Yannis Boumelaha, a volunteer at the social center [Centre Social La Ruche].
Yannis has generously and kindly invested himself for several years in carrying out cultural, sporting, and societal actions in support of youth, parenthood, the fight against domestic violence, and diversity, in order to promote, in particular, the acceptance of all, in all their diversity.
We will cherish the memory of his deep desire to help others and to make things happen.
We extend our full support and thoughts to his family, loved ones, and all those at the center who knew him.
