The victim's body was found in the Rio Tietê (Tietê River) close to a bridge, possibly after having been dumped at another location and carried by the current. Her identity is not known.
A transgender woman, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, was found dead in the afternoon of Monday (23rd), near Marginal Tietê in São Paulo. The body was discovered in the Rio Tietê, close to Ponte do Piqueri, after police units were called to the scene.
According to initial reports, the victim showed signs of violence and had wrinkled skin, indicating that she had been underwater for a period of time. During the removal process, it was noted that her clothing disintegrated, possibly due to the length of exposure in the river.
Authorities are working under the hypothesis that the body may have been disposed of at another location before being carried by the current to where it was found. The victim has not yet been officially identified.
The case is under investigation, and the police are seeking to clarify the circumstances of her death as well as identifying any potential suspects.
