Solange was murdered in a bar by armed assailants who arrived on a motorcycle.
More details have emerged about Solange Herrera, a trans woman who was murdered yesterday afternoon, Monday, inside a bar located in the nightlife area of the city of Choluteca, Choluteca, in southern Honduras.
According to reports from the scene, she was socializing at the establishment when suddenly two men arrived on a motorcycle, armed and without saying a word, began shooting at her. The number of gunshot wounds she received caused Solange to die instantly.
According to reports, Solange was originally from the village of Nuevos Colorados, also in the city of Choluteca. Her death has caused outrage among the LGBTQ+ community.
National Police officers arrived at the bar where the crime occurred to cordon off the scene and collect evidence.
Members of the LGBTIQ+ community also appeared, who were upset and outraged by what happened to their colleague Solange Herrera.
One of those present stated that they did not want the body to be transferred to Tegucigalpa, because Solange's family is of limited means and the procedures for removing the body from Forensic Medicine and transferring it would be expensive for them.
During the removal of the body, a discussion arose between family members and police officers and prosecutors, as they opposed the transfer of the body to the capital. However, the legal process requires an autopsy to determine further details about the murder.
