Tawan's body was found with gunshot wounds in front of a residential building.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tawan Neves, resident of the Balneário neighborhood.
Tawan will be remembered for his story, his courage, and for being who he always was: a trans man who marked the lives of everyone around him.
The NGO Aldeia Diversity is closely following this moment and is providing full support to the family members.
We stand in solidarity with friends and family, wishing strength and comfort to face this loss.
