Ana's body was found with gunshot wounds and hands and feet tied.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 1st, the discovery of a body was reported north of Culiacán. The body showed apparent signs of violence.
On Wednesday afternoon a body was located in farmland located in front of the Stanza Granada subdivision,La Conquista sector, located north of the Bellavista police station in the Culiacancito district.
According to initial reports the discovery was made just before 2:00 p.m. after a call was received by the 911 emergency service alerting about a deceased person, who was found bound hand and foot with tape, and lying in the middle of an agricultural property.
Authorities stated that, at the time she was found, the victim was wearing a green dress and had dyed blonde hair. So far these are the only characteristics that have been provided. The identity of the victim found in farmland in Culiacán is unknown and had gunshot wounds.
After the discovery was reported officers from various police agencies arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area.
Minutes after the discovery, personnel from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) arrived to conduct the corresponding investigations and document the finding. The victim's identity has not yet been released.
