Amelia reportedly died by suicide.
Amelia Caporale from Milan, Italy died by suicide on 4 April 2026. She was around 20 years old.
I met Amelia via a friend of mine, who was her cousin. She was struggling to navigate the legal and practical aspects of transitioning in Italy, and so over the next few weeks I helped her as much as I was able to understand what was in front of her, what practical steps to take, etc. I knew from these discussions she was finding the whole process quite difficult.
Unfortunately some months later I learned she had passed. I reached out to the family for more information, and I also tried to see if I could find some news sources, but no luck (and I don't know her deadname, so googling was not super useful).
It seems to me like she didn't have much connection in the community, so I thought I would at least send along what I know. If it's not enough to include her, that's totally fine.
