Mallika was kidnapped and murdered.
Mallika was kidnapped, murdered and thrown onto the railway tracks at Challawaripalli in Tadipatri mandal. The incident was recorded on CCTV cameras. Mallika was kidnapped in an auto. Police believe that the murder was part of a gang war.
It is known that the hijras staged a dharna with Mallika's body in front of the Tadipatri police station, demanding strict punishment for the accused.
