Sherazade was reportedly shot in the La Poza area of Posorja. No other information is known.
Asociación Silueta X has registered, via Observatorio Runa Sipiy, the murder of a trans woman in Posorja, Guayas province. The victim has been identified as Sherazade, a transgender woman from Ecuador. She was murdered in a high-crime area known locally as "La Poza" within Posorja. Local activist groups, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated that she was shot in the head. There is no information indicating that the Attorney General's Office has opened an investigation or that any suspects have been arrested.
According to the Runa Sipiy Observatory's analysis, the Posorja/"La Poza" sector in the Playas canton represents a new area of risk, adding to the critical zones already identified on the national map of violence against transgender people. The lack of active judicial investigation, its location in an area difficult for institutional control, and the limited media coverage of the incident constitute what the Observatory calls a new area of risk.
