Kidnapped and murdered
Isabelle's body was found in a residence the morning after being kidnapped by a criminal gang.
A trans woman was found dead this Saturday morning (9) in a home located in downtown Tibau do Sul, near the town's main church.
The victim was officially identified as [deadname] Arcanjo, 52, known socially as Isabele. According to information provided by the Rio Grande do Norte Military Police, the woman had reportedly been kidnapped on Friday night (8), possibly by members of a criminal faction.
She was found dead inside the property on Saturday morning. Military Police teams cordoned off the area pending the arrival of forensic experts and the Rio Grande do Norte Civil Police, who will be responsible for the investigation.
Preliminary information indicates that a Molotov cocktail was also found at the scene. It is suspected that the perpetrators attempted to set fire to the house but failed to complete the act. The motive for the crime remains unknown and is expected to be clarified during the investigation conducted by the Civil Police.
