Tiang worked in a karaoke bar. She and a taxi driver were both murdered by a group of men who attempted to conceal the bodies by burying them in a sewer pit and concreting it over.

This tragedy occurred on May 23. That evening, 36-year-old transgender woman Tang Ximeng (transliterated as Taing Simeng, stage name "Leilei"), who worked at a KTV, received a call from a customer and went out to meet him at a guesthouse in the Tieqiao district, where he had already rented a room in advance.
About two hours later, taxi driver Ai Jinshun [Editor's Note: other sources say Em Kim Srun] received a message from Tang Ximeng asking him to pick her up.
After Ai Jinshun arrived at the guesthouse, he disappeared along with Tang Ximeng.
Phnom Penh police arrested four suspects on suspicion of kidnapping and premeditated murder.
A June 3 post on Phnom Penh Police’s Facebook page, named the suspects, who were arrested on June 1, as Sokha Dani, 27, Yun Kimhorn, 40, Wong Yenlong, 31, and Yu Weiming, 26. On the same day as their arrest, the suspects confessed to the crimes during questioning, leading investigators to a site where the bodies of the two victims were recovered that day.?
The victims have been identified as Taing Simeng, 35, a transgender woman who worked at a karaoke venue, and 36-year-old taxi driver, Em Kim Srun. The crime took place in Koh Krabey village, Prek Thmey commune, Chbar Ampov district, on May 23, 2026 at 23.30pm.
Police said the victims' hands and feet had been bound before they were beaten and killed. The suspects buried the bodies together in a pit and poured concrete over them on a plot of land in Prek Leap commune. The taxi driver's vehicle was later found abandoned at a landfill site in Prek Ek, Chbar Ampov district.
An autopsy concluded that Kim Srun died from a severe wound cut to his left leg, while Simeng died from knife attacks. Authorities classified both deaths as murder. Police said they seized several items linked to the crime, including a wooden stick, an axe, electrical wires and an iPhone. Currently police are investigating any remaining accomplices in the case.
