Bianca was stabbed to death in a bar. A 34 year-old cisgender man who tried to defend her was also stabbed but survived the attack.
A 31-year-old transgender woman, identified as Bianca Narrara de Morais, was stabbed to death in the early hours of Sunday (June 21) in a bar in the city of Piracema, in the Central region of Minas Gerais. A 34-year-old man was also stabbed when he tried to intervene in the attack and was rescued alive.
According to the Military Police (PMMG), when authorities arrived at the establishment, they found the two victims lying on the ground, both with stab wounds. Near them, the police located the weapon used in the crime, which was seized.
According to information gathered at the scene, a 28-year-old man allegedly started a verbal argument with one of the victims and, during the altercation, stabbed him. The 34-year-old man tried to stop the attack but was also injured.
Bianca succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. The other victim was rescued and taken for medical treatment. The suspect fled after the crime and has not yet been located.
Subsequently Lucas Olímpio de Carvalho, 28, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
