The murder of a trans woman in the township of La Paila has generated deep consternation in Zarzal, an event that has sparked outrage among the community and human rights organizations.
According to preliminary information, the victim, a member of the LGBTIQ+ community, was attacked with a firearm while in a wooded area near the central cemetery of the district.
The homicide has caused concern among residents of the area, who lamented what happened and asked the authorities to move quickly in the investigations to clarify the circumstances of the crime and identify those responsible.
Social organizations in Valle del Cauca also expressed their rejection of the incident and requested that the case be rigorously investigated to determine whether it was a crime motivated by gender or discrimination.
