Duda's body was found in a stream. The cause of her death is not known.
The body of a trans woman, identified as Duda, 36, was found in a stream in the Rio Verde neighborhood, in Colombo, within the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba (RMC), on the afternoon of this Tuesday (18).
According to information gathered at the scene, the body was found on the side of Rua Sudão. The witness who found the body contacted the Paraná Military Police (PMPR) to report the incident. Investigator Fábio Rodrigo, from the Colombo Police Station, explained that the woman's body did not have visible signs of injury , but it will undergo examinations to identify if there are any injuries that were not noticeable.
"Apparently, according to the forensic examination at the scene, there are no stab wounds or gunshot wounds. The body was sent to the IML (Institute of Legal Medicine) for further examination to see if there are any other types of injuries that apparently did not appear at this time." said Fábio.
According to investigator Fábio, the body was found in a difficult-to-access location . Removing the body required cutting a fence and using ropes. He also confirmed that the woman lived in the area.
"The location was difficult to access; the body was inside the stream. We had to retrieve it using ropes, along with the Military Police and the Forensic Police. The personnel had to cut through the fence to enter the area and access the body." he explained.
The case will be investigated to determine the cause of death and identify whether it was a case of violence or natural causes.First published on Banda B
